Works of Wonder

Works of Wonder: Barber Studio, was a potential business venture for one of my clients. With this idea they weren’t really sure which direction they wanted to go with the identity. Since there was little direction, I sought out to create an appealing symbol that stands out from it’s competitors. One that is distinguished, easily identifiable and can be easily applied to all mediums. It also had to attract  clients, both old and new  to this barbers studio.

The concept you see above puts heavy focus on the Acronym for Works of Wonder. It was made with the intent of being read from a distance, placed on stationery and other forms of medium. It also utilizes the negative space of the “O” in a clever way. By placing the clippers dead center it would draw potential clients eye to that area and it would also make it easier to possibly detach the symbol from the word mark, and use it by itself during the branding process.
